18-Year-Old Killed In Woodstock Shooting Monday

WOODSTOCK, GA- An 18-year-old man was fatally wounded during a shooting at a apartment complex in the City of Woodstock on Monday. Police are now searching for the person or persons responsible for the shooting.

Woodstock police were called to the Riverstock Apartments, located on Arnold Mill Road on Monday, January 26, 2026, shortly after 5:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a shooting in the area. Officers quickly responded to the area and located an 18-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound.

First responders from the Woodstock Fire Department and Cherokee County Fire Department responded and rendered medical aid to the victim. He was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The victim in the shooting has been identified as 18-year-old Matthew Milner, of Woodstock. The investigation is now ongoing by the Woodstock Police Department with assistance from the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
