COLUMBUS, GA- One person was transported to a hospital in West Central Georgia after being wounded in a shooting in Southeast Columbus overnight.
Shortly after 10 p.m. on Sunday, May 24, 2026, officers with the Columbus Police Department were dispatched to the 300 block of Ford Drive in reference to a person shot.
Police have released limited details at this time in connection to the shooting. Police confirm that the victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment and has since been released.
At this time CPD has released no suspect details or possible arrests in connection to the case. The case remains under investigation by the Columbus Police Department.
