Yellow tape remains Wednesday morning near the Hamilton E. Holmes MARTA station in Atlanta where a person was stabbed in the early hours Wednsday.
ATLANTA, GA- Police are investigating an early morning stabbing incident that took place near an Atlanta area MARTA station. The victim ran to the nearby transit station for help after the incident occurred nearby.
MARTA Police were called to Grady Memorial Hospital around 3 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, in reference to an assault that may have taken place near the Hamilton E. Holmes Marta Station in west Atlanta. MARTA Police arrived to the medical facility and met with Atlanta Police.
Officer from the two agencies determined the victim had suffered a stab wound and the stabbing had taken place outside of MARTA property on a nearby street. The victim ran to the station for aid after the incident and was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital suffering from a stab wound to the shoulder.
The investigation is on going at this time and no suspect information has been released. The victim is expected to survive the injuries sustained in the assault.
