WHITFIELD COUNTY, GA- A 33-year-old woman from Memphis, Tennessee has been arrested and charged with murder after she showed up at a Whitefield County discount store last week covered in blood. The body of a male was later discovered at a nearby residence after having sustained stab wounds. The woman has been charged with his murder.
On Tuesday, October 1, 2025, at 11 p.m., the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in regards to a woman covered in blood at a Dollar General store located at 1288 Beaverdale Road in Dawnville. Deputies with the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and spoke with the bloody woman.
The woman identified as Requiya Kierra Reynolds, 33, of Memphis, Tennessee, told first responders that she had stabbed a male at a home in the 2000 block of Dawnville Beaverdale Road. Deputies responded to the home where they located a 59-year-old man on the living room floor with stab wounds. The male victim was pronounced dead on the scene Investigators have identified the male as Michael Cronin, 59, of Dalton, Georgia.
Reynold’s was transported to the Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office where she was arrested and charged with the murder of Cronin. She was booked into the Whitfield County Jail and faces charges of murder.
