ATLANTA, GA- Atlanta Police have announced an arrest in connection to a deadly shooting investigation from late August of 2025. The suspect in the case surrendered himself to authorities on Thursday in Atlanta.
Atlanta Police say on Thursday, September 18, 2025, 28-year-old Rieley Fuller turned himself in to police at the Atlanta Public Safety Headquarters. Fuller was wanted in connection to a deadly shooting that took place on August 23, 2025, on Westmoor Drive NW in Atlanta.
Atlanta police responded to 996 Westmoor Drive NW on August 23, 2025, at 11:24 p.m. in reference to a report of a person shot. When officers arrived on the scene they located a 27-year-old man suffering from a gunshot injury. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The victim was initially listed as being in critical condition, but later succumb to his injuries. The victim in the shooting was later identified as Marcus Banks III.
On Thursday police announced the surrender of Fuller. Police say he has been booked into the Fulton County Jail and faces charges of; murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Police have released no further details at this time in the case.
