1 Injured, 1 Wounded In Friday Afternoon Shooting In Atlanta

ATLANTA, GA- Atlanta police are investigating a shooting on Friday afternoon. The shooting left one person dead and another person injured. Police are now working to put together clues in the case and figure out what led to the double shooting incident.

According to Atlanta Police on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 12:15 p.m. officers responded to 240 Grant Street SE in reference to a call of a person shot. When officers arrived on the scene they located two individuals suffering from gunshot injuries. Police have identified the victims only as a 33-year-old male and a 33-year-old female.

Both victims were transported to local hospitals by ambulance for treatment of their injuries. The male victim later succumb to his injuries at the hospital and was pronounced deceased. Police have not identified the victim at this time. The female victim was receiving treatment for her injuries, but no update on her condition has been provided.

Atlanta homicide investigators were called to the scene and assumed led in the investigation. Preliminary information provided by APD indicates the shooting may be the result of a domestic situation. Police continue to work the investigation.
