CAIRO, GA- A one month drug investigation in a small South Georgia time netted more than $15,000 in narcotics and landed five people behind bars on Wednesday. The events came to a head as warrants were served at residences in two Cairo area homes.
According to a press release from the Cairo Police Department on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, officers with the Cairo Police Department and partnering agencies executed two search warrants at homes in the Cairo community.
The first warrant was executed at home in the 700 block of 8th Street NW. The second warrant was executed at a home in the 1300 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue SW. The warrants were the result of a one month investigation by law enforcement into possible narcotics activity taking place in the Cairo community.
As law enforcement descended on the homes they were able to locate and seize nine ounces of cocaine, four pounds of marijuana, MDMA (ecstasy) pills, oxycodone pills, and additional evidence not disclosed by police. According to Cairo Police the illegal narcotics that was seized was valued at $15,000.
In addition to the seizure of the narcotics, police also made five arrests, they include 19-year-old Keyon Stuart, 44-year-old Tony Davis, 55-year-old Sophia Davis, 18-year-old Kapriona Davis, and 24-year-old Shaynia Davis. The individuals arrested are facing numerous charges including trafficking cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, and possession of MDMA pills with intent to distribute. Some of the suspects have also been charged with possession of cocaine to distribute within a thousand feet of a school and within a thousand feet of a housing project.
