NORCROSS, GA- The Gwinnett County Police Department has announced the arrest of a 65-year-old man that has made waves across the nation following a viral video that has gone coast to coast. The man now faces a misdemeanor charge in connection to the incident and was arrested while being involved in another disturbance days later in a neighboring city.
Gwinnett Police confirm they have arrested and charged 65-year-old Robert Burke on an arrest warrant for disorderly conduct. The arrest stems from an incident that occurred at the Social Security Office located at 4365 Shackleford Road in Norcross on Tuesday.
Police responded to the office and spoke with multiple witnesses who were able to provide video evidence to police of the incident. The video has been shared online and includes the person suspected of being Burke using explicit language and profanity, while directing racial slurs to a security guard at the office. The video shows the suspect making threats and hurling verbal insults in the presences of several people including small children.

According to Gwinnett Police, employees at the Social Security Office say that Burke has previously caused disturbances at the location. Burke was not present at the office when police arrived on the scene. The information provided to police allowed them to obtain an arrest warrant for disorderly conduct for Burke.
Police were able to arrest Burke on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at another disturbance that he was causing at a hotel in nearby Duluth. Police say officers responded to the Courtyard Marriott Hotel located at 3550 Venture Parkway, Duluth and were able to take Burke into custody.
