Death Investigation Underway After Baconton Man Found Dead In Home

BACONTON, GA- The Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are investigating the death of a 24-year-old Baconton man. Limited details have been released at this time as investigators are looking into the death of the man after his body was discovered on Sunday in a mobile home.

According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, On Sunday, February 1, 2026, deputies with the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a mobile home park located off of Highway 19 North in the Baconton community of Mitchell County.

Responding deputies located the body of a deceased male inside of the home. The body has been identified as 24-year-old Keundre Stalling of Baconton. Investigators have confirmed the home belonged to Stalling.

Investigators have not provided any details about a possible cause of death, but have confirmed the body of Stalling’s will be sent to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy.

The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time in connection to the death investigation. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the GBI Regional Investigative Office in Thomasville at (229)225-4090.
