BACONTON, GA- The Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are investigating the death of a 24-year-old Baconton man. Limited details have been released at this time as investigators are looking into the death of the man after his body was discovered on Sunday in a mobile home.
According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, On Sunday, February 1, 2026, deputies with the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a mobile home park located off of Highway 19 North in the Baconton community of Mitchell County.
Responding deputies located the body of a deceased male inside of the home. The body has been identified as 24-year-old Keundre Stalling of Baconton. Investigators have confirmed the home belonged to Stalling.
Investigators have not provided any details about a possible cause of death, but have confirmed the body of Stalling’s will be sent to the GBI Crime Lab for an autopsy.
