ATLANTA, GA– The Atlanta Police Department has announced the arrest of a 47-year-old woman in connection to a fatal shooting that took place at a residence in Atlanta in March of 2025. The fatal shooting is suspected to be the result of a domestic related incident that escalated.
On Friday, Atlanta Police announced the arrest of 47-year-old Tarika Hill on charges related to a fatal shooting that took place on March 30, 2025.
According to Atlanta Police on March 30, 2025, at 3:57 p.m., officers responded to reports of a person shot at 110 Joseph E. Lowery Blvd SW. When police arrived they located an adult male victim that had sustained a gun shot wound. Medical personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.
Homicide investigators have worked the case over the past months and have gathered evidence to charge Hill in connection to the case.
On January 15, 2026, Atlanta Police and deputies from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office were able to take Hill into custody. She was transported to the Fulton County Jail where she has been booked on charges of murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony
Information released indicates Hill is related to the victim of the shooting and the shooting may have stemmed from a domestic related incident.
