ATLANTA, GA- Homicide investigators in Atlanta are investigating the fatal shooting of a 55-year-old man that took place in southwest Atlanta on Thursday night.
The Atlanta Police Department confirms officers were called to the area of 2685 Beeler Drive SW at 10:40 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2026, in reference to a person shot. When officers arrived they were able to locate a 55-year-old male victim that had sustained an gunshot wound.
Responding officer checked the victim for signs of life, but found the victim to be unresponsive with no signs of life. Medical personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.
Atlanta homicide investigators arrived on the scene and began their investigation. At this time there has been no word on a possible suspect or motive in the case. The shooting remains under investigation.
