DEKALB COUNTY, GA- Police in DeKalb County are investigating a fatal shooting that took place at a shopping center located off of Rockbridge Road on Saturday night. The shooting claimed the life of one man and left police seeking the person responsible for the shooting.
DeKalb Police were called to a shopping center located in the 7100 block of Rockbridge Road in the Stone Mountain area of the county on Saturday, June 20, 2026, around 9:02 p.m. in reference to a reported shooting.
Officer responded to the scene and upon arrival they discovered a male victim in the parking lot of the center suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was checked for signs of life, but was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police have not identified the victim at this time.
Preliminary information released by DeKalb PD indicates the victim and another individual were involved in an argument at the shopping center prior to the shooting. Police have not released any information about the other possible individual and have not acknowledged if that person is in custody at this time.
