COBB COUNTY, GA- The Cobb County Police Department has announced the arrest of a 22-year-old man in connection to a Tuesday night shooting near a Marietta motel that left a 9-month old girl dead and neighbors in shock.
On Wednesday, September 24, 2025, less than 24-hours after the fatal shooting, Cobb County Police have announced the arrest of 22-year-old Ladarrius Brown. Brown is charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
The charges stem from an incident on Tuesday night that left a 9-month-old girl dead. Around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, Cobb County Police responded to the 4900 block of Circle 75 Parkway in reference to shots being fired. When officers arrived they discovered a 9-month-old child that had been shot. The child succumb to her injuries sustained in the shooting.
Cobb County investigators quickly began to put the pieces together and announced the arrest of Ladarrius Brown on Wednesday afternoon.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests and charges maybe forthcoming. The identity of the victim in the shooting has not been released. Anyone with any information on this case is asked to call the Cobb County Major Crimes Unit at (770)499-3945.
