RICHMOND HILL, GA- The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has been called in to investigate a triple shooting in the small town of Richmond Hill. The shooting left two people dead and a third in the hospital on Saturday night.
According to preliminary information released by the GBI, the agency was requested by the Richmond Hill Police Department to investigate the death of two men at an apartment in Richmond Hill that took place Saturday night.
According to investigators on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 10 p.m. officers with the Richmond Hill Police Department responded to the Ashton Apartments located on Harris Trail Road in reference to a shooting.
When officers arrived on the scene they located three people that had sustained gunshot wounds. Police assessed the condition of the victims and found that two of the victims were deceased on the scene and the third victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The two deceased victims have been identified by the GBI as Umar Haqq, age 19, of Richmond Hill, and James Wallace, age 18, of Savannah. The third victim is being treated at an area hospital no update on their condition has been released at this time.
