Columbus Massage Therapist Faces List Of Sexual Related Charges

COLUMBUS, GA- The Columbus Police Department has announced the arrest of a 60-year-old business owner in connection to several sexually related charges. The suspect in the case was reported as a missing person by police early this year and now is the subject of a criminal investigation and has been in custody since he attempted to re-enter the country earlier this month.

On Monday, June 29, 2026, Columbus police announced the arrest of 60-year-old Clarence Brown. The arrest comes after Columbus detectives began an investigation into the massage business owned by Brown. That business has been identified as Nu You Experience located in the 3800 block of E. Britt David Road in Columbus.

Columbus Police say the investigation began after an individual reported inappropriate contact during a massage. During the course of their investigation police say a second victim came forward with a similar allegation against Brown. Police continued to probe the case and learned that during their investigation Brown had left the United States.

In May of 2026, Columbus police had issued a missing persons alert for Brown and noted just days later that he had been located safely, but did not elaborate on his whereabout.

On June 15, 2026, Brown was detained by members of the United States Customs and Airport authorities at Miami International Airport in Florida as he attempted to re-enter the country. Brown was later taken into custody by members of the Columbus Police Department’s Fugitive Unit and has been extradited back to Columbus.

Brown has been booked into the Muscogee County Jail and has been charged with two counts of sexual battery, aggravated sexual battery, two counts of masturbation for hire, unlawful acts under the massage therapy practice act, acting without a license, giving massages in a place used for lewdness, prostitution, assignation, or masturbation for hire, obscene material, and utilization of a federal work authorization program.

Brown will make his first court appearance on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at 1 p.m. in Columbus Recorders Court. Despite his arrest the investigation is ongoing and police ask anyone with any additional information to the incidents is asked to contact Cpl.
