ATLANTA, GA- The Atlanta Police Department has announced a second suspect has been taken into custody in connection to a deadly shooting in October of 2024, that claimed the life of a 23-year-old man.
According to the Atlanta Police Department on Monday, September 15, 2025, officers with APD along with members of the FBI Violent Crime Task Force successfully apprehended 24-year-old Taryn Dorsey.
Police had named Dorsey as a suspect in the fatal shooting of 23-year-old Salvador Ramirez. On October 26, 2024, officers found Ramirez deceased from multiple gunshot wounds at a construction site located at 750 Cascade Place SW in Atlanta. Ramirez worked in the construction field and it has been speculated the suspects in the case were attempting to steal tools from his vehicle when the shooting occurred.
Just days prior police announced the arrest of 18-year-old Kendrick Miliam in connection to the case. Miliam was taken into custody by APD and the FBI Violent Crime Task Force on September 9, 2025. He has been booked into the Fulton County Jail.
Both Dorsey and Miliam are facing charges of murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and entering an automobile.
The arrests come nearly 11 months after the fatal shooting of Ramirez. The Atlanta Police Homicide Unit has worked continually on the case leading up to the two recent arrests. The case remains under investigation and anyone with any information can contact Atlanta PD’s Homicide Unit.
